Philip Seeber was born in Rockford, IL, the son of an
established and successful Podiatrist, and he continues that proud tradition of excellence
today in his own practice.
Educational Background: - Dr. Philip Seeber went to a Christian elementary
school, and graduated college from the University of Wisconsin. He attended the Illinois
College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed his surgical residency at Franklin Boulevard
Hospital in Chicago, IL with six months of general anesthesia experience.

Professional Accomplishments:
- Developed the first motor skilled laboratory for podiatry in the United States at
Harvard Memorial Hospital, Harvard, IL, in ankle arthroscopy in 1991
- First to Introduce small incision heel spur surgery to Northern Illinois (which allows
for immediate postoperative ambulation).
- He was the first doctor in the greater Rockford area in Northern Illinois also to
perform a bunionectomy using special small screws, which may
allow the patient to walk on the foot immediately and be in a jogging shoe in three weeks.
- First Podiatric surgeon in the greater Rockford, IL area to perform ankle arthroscopy
- Invented sterile X-ray safety stand to allow semi-weight bearing views of patients while
undergoing surgical procedures
- Over 10 years of teaching experience in Foot and Ankle Surgery
- Created the first surgical residency program in Northern Illinois for the teaching of
foot and ankle surgeons
- Directed Research Project on Implants and Transplants at Michael Reese
